Ahoy there, m’hearties! Our first 4 o’clock gathering took place on Sunday afternoon as Pirate Church. Children and parents joined the Super-Merchant on his quest to find the clues leading to the ultimate treasure, a big shiny pearl. As they completed the treasure hunt challenges, everyone earned treasure of their own. In the end, they gave back their coins to receive a large pearl, learning that our greatest treasure is God’s Kingdom and knowing His love for us.
We sang a lovely sea shanty and prayed while holding a big pearl in our hands. Before heading home, the children enjoyed a delicious tea and left holding their pearl and the verse which they had learnt ‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also’ Matthew 6:21.
Everyone had a fantastic time, discovering just how much God loves them.
