Meet some of the team
Charles is vicar of St John’s Woodbridge and Rector of St Andrew’s Bredfield. He is married to Kate and has four children. Before moving to Woodbridge he was a minister in London and Buckinghamshire. He loves running, biking, sailing and spending time with his family.
Kate is the Children and Families Pastor at St John’s. She has taught for many years in primary schools, as well as teaching History of Art at A Level. She is married to Charles and they have four children. She loves being creative, reading and travelling, particularly to Italy and the Alps.
Rev Karen Lawson — Curate
Karen is one of our Curates serving with us here at St John’s. She brings a thoughtful, compassionate approach to ministry and plays a valued role in the life of our church family. From leading services and musical to offering pastoral support, Karen helps nurture our community with grace and dedication.
Rev Peter Plummer — Curate
Peter is one of our Curates serving with us here at St John’s. He brings a gentle pastoral presence, a heart for community, and a deep commitment to helping people grow in faith. Whether he’s leading services, offering support, or getting stuck into the everyday life of the church, Peter is a valued part of our ministry team.
Lyn is a Churchwarden and has worshipped at St John’s for many years. She has a passion for sharing the joy of Jesus’ love in everday life. Having retired as Headteacher of a small village school she loves to spend time with her family, going to the theatre and playing keyboard at home and in church.
Bill lives near Woodbridge with his wife Ruth. He enjoys curry, detective fiction, vinyl records, choirs, two allotments and loves long walks with Ruth.
Operations and Events Manager – vacancy
Lois loves to provide a friendly voice on the end of the phone and keeps our church family informed and supported through her administry gifts. She loves gardening, singing.
