We will be running a schools’ week at St John’s during the week beginning 16th March called The Narnia Experience – Exploring Easter through Narnia.
The children in KS2 at our local primary schools will go on an adventure through Narnia and learn about how The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C S Lewis is an allegory of The Easter Story. Before they enter the world of Narnia, they will learn about the Easter story. During the Narnia trail, the children will spot the parallel characters and at the end they will discuss why Jesus came to Earth, died and rose again.
There will be a team from St John’s and St Andrew’s facilitating the trail. If you would like to be part of this, please let Kate know (actors, team leaders, refreshments, prop makers, set up and take down, audio/visual operator).
There will be a few times during the week when you will be able to book and experience The Narnia Experience for yourself – watch this space for the dates and times!
We would be very grateful if you have any of these props that you are willing to lend for the week:
• Old suitcases/trunks
• WWII signs/posters
• WWII objects to put in the train station at the beginning of the trail
• Old desk
• Anglepoise lamp

• Old Singer sewing machine
• Large bamboo blind
• Artificial blossom tree or branches
• Artificial Christmas tree (not a precious one!)

Please let Kate know if you are able to lend any of the above items.
Many thanks!
