Sadly we have taken the decision to close the Little Free Pantry. Over the last while it has been cleared out too frequently by just one or two people, not leaving anything for those that might be in need. This is obviously disappointing for those that might need the occasional items. For the past 3 weeks, a letter has been attached to the pantry door reminding people to take only what they need and if this wasn’t the case, we would close it.
We have many very faithful members of our Church and wider community who are generous regular givers. We don’t feel it’s right that these donations are not being properly or fairly used.
As of Friday the 9th of January the pantry will be closed and the stock we will have been taken to the Salvation Army who do an amazing job.
Please continue to put non perishable food and toiletries in the trolley as these will be taken to the Salvation Army.
